Just like getting traffic to your website, getting MLM leads is relatively easy. But that is not what you really want is it – you want high quality traffic and leads, and that’s important. Conversion rates will be extremely low or non-existent if you’re getting the wrong kind of traffic or leads to your site.
There is a process to obtaining qualified leads from pre-qualified traffic which every successful person in the MLM industry knows about. By aiming at people who are already making money within the MLM industry, they are pre-qualified “warm” prospects, eager to make more money with another product. Those who know nothing about MLM will take a great deal of educating and time, and conversion rates will be low, hence aim at others within the MLM industry first.
So how do you find these eager MLMers and market your product to them?
Probably the easiest way is by offering them free training or at least something of value. Simply telling them that your company’s product is the best since sliced bread sounds amateur and unconvincing. The proof of anything is the results, and by showing those prospects that your product is easy to sell and gets great results, you are already on the road to successful conversion. You have to try to make your prospect’s life easier with what you have to offer, thus the key is to help the prospect with his problems first, the actual product is secondary at this stage.
On the internet the only way to offer this free training or aid, is via a lead capture page so you capture their name and e-mail address in exchange for what you are going to offer them. Everything you do at this stage should lead them on by including a strong call to action at the end of everything you send. You are, as a leader, leading them along at this stage.
There are millions of people involved with the MLM industry online. Starting with a social networking venue such as Facebook may be one way to capture leads, LinkedIn is another. Start where you know the largest congregation of your potential leads hang out, and then keep adding venues such as MySpace and Twitter, once you have an established presence. Blogs and Forums are everywhere on the net, specifically for the MLM industry. Once you get in with the right crowd, you will find endless ideas for the right places to go to find your pre-qualified leads.
One easy way to get your information to a targeted audience is simply by using the major search engines. Do some thorough keyword research to understand which keywords your audience is searching for. If you use the Google keyword tool, you will be given monthly local (US) and global searches relating to your keywords – and many other useful related keywords – it can be surprising how people search.
Write an article including those keywords and give some insight into your free training or expertise (do not give any vital information away!) and finish the article with a clear call to action, making the reader click through to your site, onto a landing page or lead capture page which should contain an opt in box and be very short, precise and to the point. There is an art to writing capture pages that convert, and you will find a lot of information about that on the internet too. When you give your readers precisely what they’re looking for, they will opt in for more information.
